The Man Show - Selling Beer

The Man Show boy selling beer on the street is one of the funniest sketches I remember from the show. It's too bad the show isn't still on the air as it had some really funny bits they would do. Neither one of the hosts (Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel) has moved on to anything significantly more successful.

At a White House press conference, an eyewitness to Dick Cheney's hunting accident steps forward...

This is really funny and is really popular at the moment. The quail that Dick Cheney was 'trying' to shoot speaks at a press conference to answer questions regarding the hunting accident from two weeks ago. The quail says some really funny things so enjoy.

Here is a pretty funny gag from the Man Show featuring Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel. I watched quite a few of the episodes when it first aired but I don't remember this prank. It's quite funny and some of the reactions are not what I would have expected.

Mythbusters - Break a glass with voice

In this 13 minute clip, the myth busters seek to find out if the human voice at the proper pitch can break glass as is often seen in comedies and cartoons. I didn't think it would be possible when I first saw that they were testing the myth. Let's see what happens when:

Here is an interesting FAKE video. The first time I watched this I thought there were to many things that could go wrong during this stunt. I quickly saw when watching it slowly that the whole thing was faked.

If you'd like to see the trickery, watch it frame by frame just as she begins her flip in the air. Well done fake.

This guy has the best job in the world. He's married to Britney Spears and seems to get everything he asks for. Kevin Federline is living the dream of just about every lazy man in the World. He doesn't have to do anything and is allowed to pursue any interests he has like signing.

This is him in the studio listening to hes new song Popozao. Of course in this video the sound has been replaced with a radio parody song. Unfortunately, I don't think it makes him look any more foolish than he already is.

This is great stuff on Google Video. Google has reached a non-exclusive agreement with the National Archives of the US to show some of the restored older footage. This includes old News Reels, old Nasa films, and a lot of stock footage of the United States. This is an old news reel featuring the following:

Part 1, Marines train in the U.S. and set up an operations post in the Pacific. Shows Adm. Byrd. Part 2, women make dirigibles; a pipe line is laid from Texas to Illinois; ships are launched in Maine; children camp in New Jersey. Part 3, Philippine soldiers train in California. Part 4, the "Flying Tigers" in China become part of the Army Air Forces. Wings and insignias are presented to the airmen. Shows Gen. Chennault.

This is an Airbus promotional video showing how the Airbus A340 is constructed. They basically do a timelapse video of the construction of the aircraft and shorten the production time of months to just under 2 minutes.

There are very few clips from the very well done Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Google Video. This is one that has been uploaded recently and will likely not be on Google Video for very long so enjoy it while you can.

MuchMusic VJ search on Google Video

Here is Canada's answer to MTV releasing content to Google Video. In this case it is a joint show between Much Music and City TV to find the newest host for Much Music. This is the third episode and the description can be found below.

Canada Olympic Hockey Video

Well the hockey nation of Canada was upset(?) today by the Russian team in the first round of the playoffs at the Olympics in Torino (Turin). This is a fan created video showing the highlights of the gold medal game against the USA from the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. Neither one of these two teams will be moving on to the next round during this year of the Olympics.

Let the second guessing begin in Canada.

Kenny Vs Spenny on Google Video

I think that this is the funniest show on TV at the moment. It is not airing widely in any nation but is apparently the largest selling exported Canadian show. It pits these two friends (Kenny and Spenny) against each other in competition with the looser facing some form of humiliation.

The theme of this clip is "Who do old people like more?"

Tango Ad - Nature Special

This certainly is an odd nature special. It seems to start out kind of horrific but then just leaves you asking, what just happened? Here is what Tango is for those who don't know:

Tango (or, as they prefer, "Tango Lemon") tastes a lot like carbonated lemonade. It doesn't have the smoothness of, say 7-Up; there's a very tart aftertaste that makes it hard to drink more than about six ounces at a time. But if you're willing to confine yourself to a thimbleful, it's very tasty.

Super Mario Bros Parkour - Free Running

Free Running (Parkour) is really quite amazing to watch in person and is nearly as fun watching on video. This is a French video featuring David Belle.

My only beef with this video is in the title. Just because you add Super Mario Brothers sounds does not mean that this is Super Mario Parkour. It's just a cool video with annoying sound.

I would like to know if anyone has a link to a copy of the now famous Darth Nancy video produced by the American Republican Party. It was a Star Wars spoof that first surfaced 10 days ago and depicts many prominent Democrats in less than flattering roles as the evil Democrat empire.

Takeshi's Castle

Japanese television scares the holy hell out of me! I'm glad I got that off my chest. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching the english versions of their shows such as Takeshi's Castle (MXC on Spike TV) and Iron Chef. Watching them in Japanese is just too surreal for me (This version is dubbed in Spanish). What I find surprising is the number of people who compete.

Could someone please tell me what exactly they are competing for in the line of prizes.

Ok, this will be the last Brokeback mountain parody trailer I will post. This one also might be the funniest one as well.

This clip comes to you from Current TV on cable in the states. They have real time updates like other cable news networks in the states but also have regular updates on the hottest search terms on Google in a feature called Google Current. For a while videos were not being updated on Google Video but it appears regular video postings are now being made through the following link : http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=google+current

The video quality is great and the topics are often quite interesting. In this most recent update, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, Champion Kan-Point's Autumn Roses, the Royal Show in England, Hamster shows, Living Heritage Events, and Betty Chu's prize winning angora rabbits are discussed.

Lazy Sunday revisited

NBC has just sent out cease and desist letters to most of the hosts of Lazy Sunday : Chronicles of Narnis Rap other than iTunes where they are charging for it. This video began as a free download but now NBC is realizing just how profitable this sketch can be. As such they have taken down a few of the copies on Google Video including the one mentioned in this post.

I think this is garbage again from NBC who pulled a bait and switch on their Google Video Olympic Coverage and now on the folks who helped make this video so popular to begin with. I have found another working copy of the video and have amended the old post with the new link and will include the embedded player in this post as well.

Little Britain - Bitty

Before this video that I found on Google Video I had never heard of Little Britain. This sketch(?) from them is called Bitty and I found it hilarious. I'm not sure if all of the stuff from this BBC show is as funny.

If anyone out there is familiar with the material I would appreciate it if they could fill me in on this series.
